Find attached some pictures from my recent visit to Philippines. Philippines is divided in three main regions viz. Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. My travel was mostly in Mindanao and to southern Visayas.

I took domestic flight from Manilla to Davao (South west of Mindanao). Davao is a hill side town next to Davao Gulf it has a magnificent view of city from the mountain. Took a bus for six hours to Cagayan (Rachel’s home town – Northen Mindanao), it’s also next to the sea with small hills. Drive from Davao to Cagayan has beautiful view of lush green mountains, plantations of pineapple, coconuts and Bananas.

From Cagayan we went to Bohol, it’s an Island from Southren Visayas. Ferry sails overnight between two islands of Mindanao and Visayas we took a ferry to Tagbilaran port from Cagayan. Bohol is major tourist attraction as it has beautiful beaches and many islands and chocolate hills (in summer when trees turn brown the hills appears as giant chocolate triangles). I am proud to a take a picture with Tarsier with his head moving 180 degree (Because he wanted to see another spices from South east Asia – Marya’s me  ). We went for island hopping but could hop only two islands, I do have pictures at this time may be I will upload them on my blog later. There are white sand beaches with corals and many different spices of fish, snorkeling and diving is on to your option, for me the ride was scary as ocean was deep blue and I do not know how to swim ohuuuuuuu!!! Don’t worry islands were worth the ride, there were dinning facility available but could not do much due to shortage of time.

Road and sea transport infrastructure was good. There are three domestic air carriers which flew to many ports with in Philippines, shopping malls, resturants taxis and hotels were easily available. People are very simple, busy with daily routine but has smile for visitors; most of them understand English. There are some parts of Mindanao in west with troubles but I did not need to visit them neither did other tourist, indeed security was well organized in public places and I did not see any trouble in my travel. (Beware of keeping your cash secure and an eye on your baggage, although people are good but not all the colors of rainbow are same )

Afterwards back to Cagayan, spend some time home eating pineapples, mangos, Mangostine and Rambutans. They had a local specialty (it’s there in most of south east Asia) called duriyan but I could dare to have it lot.

Now back to sweet, hot, humid heaven. Hope you will enjoy the pictures and my little details.

Kind regards
Munish
